چکیده

A recent surge of research on Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) has given us new opportunities and challenges. Besides safety-related applications, commercial applications also find their way to fully utilize these networks. One of the promising applications is the dissemination of commercial advertisements over VANETs. However there are uncooperative vehicles that may disrupt the spreading of these advertisements. To encourage cooperation, we want to address proper incentives and security measurements. In this paper, we use Reed-Solomon codes to construct our incentive scheme and enhance its security by introducing one discrete logarithm representation problem. Our construction yields a secure and practical commercial advertisement dissemination scheme over VANETs.

Design Approach for Cooperative Security in Vehicular Communication Systems

A Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a form of Mobile ad-hoc network, to provide communications among nearby vehicles and between vehicles and nearby fixed roadside equipment. The key operation in VANETs is the broadcast of messages. Its main goal is to improve safety and comfort for passengers, but it can also be used for commercial applications. In this latter case, it will be necessary to m...

A Winning-Probability-based Incentive Scheme in Vehicular Networks

Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are envisioned to provide promising applications and services. One critical deployment issue in VANETs is to motivate vehicles and their drivers to cooperate and contribute to packet forwarding in vehicle-to-vehicle or vehicle-to-roadside communication. In this paper, we examine this problem, analyze the drawbacks of two straightforward schemes, and present a ...

A general construction of Reed-Solomon codes based on generalized discrete Fourier transform

In this paper, we employ the concept of the Generalized Discrete Fourier Transform, which in turn relies on the Hasse derivative of polynomials, to give a general construction of Reed-Solomon codes over Galois fields of characteristic not necessarily co-prime with the length of the code. The constructed linear codes  enjoy nice algebraic properties just as the classic one.

An Incentive-Aware Lightweight Secure Data Sharing Scheme for D2D Communication in 5G Cellular Networks

Due to the explosion of smart devices, data traffic over cellular networks has seen an exponential rise in recent years. This increase in mobile data traffic has caused an immediate need for offloading traffic from operators. Device-to-Device(D2D) communication is a promising solution to boost the capacity of cellular networks and alleviate the heavy burden on backhaul links. However, dir...

New Classes of Public Key Cryptosystems over F28 Constructed Based on Reed-Solomon Codes, K(XVII)SE(1)PKC and K(XVII)ΣΠPKC

In this paper, we present new classes of public key cryptosystem over F28 based on Reed-Solomon codes, referred to as K(XVII)SE(1)PKC and K(XVII)ΣΠPKC, a subclass of K(XVII)SE(1)PKC. We show that K(XV II)SE(1)PKC over F28 can be secure against the various attacks. We also present K(XVII)ΣΠPKC over F28 , a subclass of K(XVII)SE(1)PKC. We show that any assertion of successfull attack on K(XVII)SE...
